2nd Elvish Christmas Party

The 2nd Annual Elvish Christmas party was a huge success. And I know this b/c all the food was gone and nobody had to be taken away by ambulance. 16 kiddies and their Momma's and Daddy's came to hang out with us and eat food and play.

Santa came and saw us again this year and Alex and Bella were about to explode with excitement. Aunt Beth was pretty happy too. He brought books and coloring kits for the kiddies. Thanks Santa for hanging out with us!

It is always a ton of fun to get all of our friend's and their children together. They grow SO fast. Jacob Fields (turned one yesterday) showed off his near walking abilities. Liam got to play in the toy box and his Daddy pushed him on the swing. And all the big boys played Mario on the computer...like drones. :)

Next year I'll remember cups. Thanks for making the trek to the booming metropolis of Sumter to see us. Love you!!!

Well crap I don't know how to undo the two pics of Nic and Silas. Woops. LOL

Christmas Card Outtakes

You want to know what is hard? Getting two boys to sit still and smile at the same time. I tried for two weeks to get the money shot. If your card is late submit all complaints to my children. Hahaa!

Yeah, I made French onion soup!

I was cold and hungry and was thinking about French Onion Soup b/c its my fav and I tend to think about food when hungry. I thought how stinkin hard can it be right?! I'll wing it. We all know how great stuff turns out when you wing it. Normally it doesn't. But this time I actually pulled it off! Yay me!! So here is the recipe for my made up French Onion Soup.

Made Up French Onion Soup

In small sauce pan boil/dissolve one beef bullion cube
In a nearby pan saute some onions in butter till browned
Meanwhile rip up some french bread in a little ranikins? (is that right?! I dunno pudding sized cup thingies)
Sprinkle in the onions
Pour soup over bread and onions
Top with cheese
Bake at 350 until bubbly.

Its not that dark brown a normal "professional" French onion has but it was pretty damn close on taste.

Pam is still not 50.

For Mom's birthday my Dad threw her a big birthday bash at The Store. Brie, Darlene, Lourie, Debbie and Elwyn and all the Lakesters were in attendance. She got tons of presents and rumor has it a lap dance or two. It was a good time. Happy Birthday Mom!!!

30th Unbirthday

Brie and I decided to split the difference and have a party in November to celebrate our elderly state. We all got dressed up and went out to eat at the Blue Marlin in the Vista. I had fried green tomatoes and portabella mushroom ravioli. SO GOOD! Then they brought a chocolate dessert that we all shared. After dinner we went to Wet Willys for some fruity drinks.

We had a very good turn out. Thank you everyone who came out to celebrate with us.

Halloween Anyone?

Yeah, I suck at blogging. I might be a great wife, super mom, fab daughter but blogger I am not. We did a bunch for Halloween this year b/c those costumes are expensive and the Murley's LOVE to dress up.

Went to Boo at the Zoo with the Hingsts, Billy and Ami and her kiddies. It was much better this year-not as crowded. The kids got a sweet little haul of candy and roasted marshmallows.

Then for actual Halloween we went to Trick or Treat in 5 points. Horrible. They didn't have hardly any candy, there was nothing but one jump house for the kids to play in, no food or drink...and it was hellishly hot. It kinda felt like bar hoping with children. We wont do that again. But then we went to Xander and Bella's grandma's house and everyone got to run around and skateboard down the hill.

Aunt Catherine got her job!

Congrats to Aunt Catherine for getting all employed. Whoop! They started her as lesser than her real position b/c the dumb asses still haven't processed her paperwork yet. But they'll make her the real thing as soon as that happens. And in the mean time she'll be making some mula. So now both Gude's are working at Cedars.

Greetings Followers!

Merry meet. I wanted to give a big Squirrely Murley welcome to Ashley and Jenn for following our blog. It starts off reading about how big Lucas is getting and before you know it we are holding hands singing songs and drinking purple Kool-aid. You gotta have goals, thats all I'm saying. :)

Anywho I don't exactly have pictures of Ashley and Jenn...so this is a picture of Mom and Dad's new couch. Nice huh? Its really comfy.

Happy Sunday!

Brianna is 30!

My bestest good friend in the world turned 30 on October 7th. Even though I STILL have not seen her and her gift is now collecting the dust that she is so allergic to, we are planning on going out in Nov to celebrate a collective oldness of the both of us. I don't feel 30. Oh, well whats another decade right? Happy Birthday Brie! I love ya!!

Big Un is 4 and a half.

Dylan Michael gets smarter every day. He blows our minds on a regular basis with what he knows and the hysterical things he says. "I have to sleep with you Momma, Jesus said." "Watch out for the lazy beams!" I'm going to do a blog just with Dylanisms cause he is a hoot.

In school he is doing fantastic. Ms. Carolyn and Ms. Alice always rave about his manners and how sweet he is AND he is kickin phonics booty. If asked what a word starts with he sounds it out and then can tell you. He should be reading by the end of the school year. Crazy right?!

Dyl turns 5 in March and we are planning on taking the boys to Disney to celebrate. He is SO excited and we are too b/c we know they are going to have so much fun.

Dylan has turned into an amazing little boy. He rocked as a baby and toddler but we are just constantly re-impressed with him. He makes us laugh, he gives fantastic hugs and he's always game to sing us a little ditty. Momma and Daddy love you Dylan!

Lucas Evan is 18 Months old

The baby is a 18 months old today. ALREADY! So here is an update of the stuff he does. He can point to his nose, eyes, mouth, ears, feet, hands and tummy when asked. His latest thing to do is point at things and say "What is it?" Every day when he wakes up and after nap I have to tell him "Its the guitar." "Its the deer." Its our routine. So now when I say "Lucas where is the deer?" He points to it. All of his teeth have popped through. We are just waiting for them to get all the way in so maybe the drool will be a bit less. His dermatitis seems to be under control. He has spots on the top of his feet that stay there and the backs of his legs are still hot spots but we have enough goop to de-itch all of SC so we have a handle on when he needs it. Michael has him dancing and its a trip to watch those chubby little thighs drop it like its hot while wearing Momma's boots. :) He is a blast. We really enjoy him.

Baby Giraffe at the zoo!

I got an email from Riverbanks Zoo (we are members and VERY important-lol) saying they had a new addition: a little female giraffe! Had to go see her! I am a sucker for baby animals so I made Michael drive the Murley clan to go see the little thing. Well little for a giraffe is 6 foot tall. Not too shabby. There was another baby giraffe in the enclosure named Lewis also very cute. Dylan and I fed a grown giraffe some lettuce and then used some Riverbanks Zoo hand sanitizer to get the drool off.

Meerkats are evil.

Pam Cam 2 X-rated version

Oh, hey so in this version of Pam Cam I actually got some pictures of Adam's graduation from Ohio State...and some blow up dolls and chocolate Easter bunnies. Adam and Catherine are now moved into their Beverly Hills casa and doing very well. He is working for Cedars and looking forward to seeing the Halloween parade from their front porch. Catherine is still waiting on the dweebs to process her CA certification so she can go job huntin.
