Lucas Evan is 3 months old!

Lucas has accomplished quite a bit in his little life. He can hold his head up all the time now. And he giggles and talks. He also likes to scream for fun and then laugh. He wants to sit up so bad he can hardly stand it. I don't figure it will be long. He also tried cereal and bananas for the first time the other night and slept from 8-5:30. So we got that one figured out. Check. He is just so sweet and such a joy.

Skeeto Bites

Last weekend we all went to see Nana and Poppa at their house. Dylan and Momma went for a walk down the fire break and looked for the deers footprints and talked about how monsters only live in New York. ;) He held my hand the entire time and it was great fun BUT apparently the entire time we were being chewed on by mean Manning Mosquitoes. I am inclined to believe that the MEAN Manning Mosquitoes are somehow in cahoots with the devil because I didn't feel a thing. They are stealthier than regular run-of-the mill mosquitoes. The next day we woke up COVERED in itchy, Itchier, ITCHIEST bites.

Those mean skeetos got in Dyl's pants and bit him around his business and once on his bum. Poor guy needed some relief so Michael took him to Rite Aid for some anti-histamine squirt stuff. Dylan walks into the store, walks up to the lady behind the counter announces "I am Dylan. I have skeeto bites." And grabs his junk. :) Thats Michael's kid.

Teddy Bear Quilt

Darlene made Lucas the CUTEST quilt ever. She obviously worked very hard on it and it shows cause the detail is fantastic. We LOVE it! Thank you, thank you!!

Super Baby

So Aunt Shannon and Uncle Dave gave Lucas the cutest onesie on the planet. Dylan picked it out for him to wear last Tuesday. So Super Baby got to goto the grocery store and to pick big brother up from school. Unfortunately there was no need to show off any SUPER powers.

The Fox

Not everyone has the opportunity and great joy of owning a GIANT red fox mounted to a board. My brother Adam and his dear wife Catherine soon will no longer be one of these sad millions. Dad saw the empty space on Adam's office wall as his big chance to fulfill one of his son's dreams. I know you are all jealous but don't hate. And to prove that he doesn't show favoritism, Dad offered to stuff a possum for Michael and I. We had to pass. :)

Our bestest good weekend

We had the best weekend!
Dylan and Momma got to ride in the coal car on the zoo choo-choo!

Daddy and Dylan got to ride the tiger.
We also got to go see Uncle Daze and Aunt Shanna after the zoo. Dylan actually got in the pool and was swimming and having the best time. We dropped the ball on the picture part of the trip. :) THEN on Sunday we went to see Nana and Poppa. Nana made Dylan a big brother cake and Poppa got Lucas laughing. It was a great weekend and we are now exhausted!

Dylan is NOT evil!

After hearing my family is calling for a Dyl beating upon reading the "Dylan hates Momma" post I think I better clarify. I was just joking at the end when I said he said "Haahaa, blah, blah." to Lucas. He can be rotten but he is not outright EVIL. :) Plus he doesn't ever speak to Lucas unless I make him (he's not much of a talker yet). And I am hoping he doesn't use the word sucker as of yet. He did sigh the other night and say "Oh, gosh. I'm tired Momma." Besides he wuvs me and I am his best girlfriend. Don't believe me? Just ask him.

Dylan's teeth

So Dylan went to see Dr. Jones today and he said that the thingy under his tongue is too short and that is why he has problems with his speech. He told me to have a speech pathologist evaluate him to see if he needs it snipped or if speech alone will correct it. So I got on the Kingsbury Elementary web site and lucked out and found two speech therapists' email addresses. So I fired out an email to one of them and am waiting to hear back. I'll let you know what is said when I know. Hopefully she isn't in Cancun drinking pina coladas. :)

Dylan hates Momma

So I come into the kitchen to make Lucas a bottle only to turn around when I hear "I made a mess Momma" come out of Dylan's mouth. This is NEVER good. I look and there is baby powder all over my new couch and the culprit. I think I then heard him whisper to Lucas "Haaahaa! I got her again, sucker!" Why does this never happen to Michael??

Pics of the boys

Here is some random cuteness while I figure out if this is being sent to people on my list.

Our trip the Edventure Childrens Museum

We decided to finally get out of the house and take the boys to do something fun. The Edventure Childrens Museum in Columbia turned out to be the best choice ever. Dylan had the MOST fun. So much fun in fact he didn't want to leave. Lucas slept most of the time but did wake for a feeding and to stare at the bright colors going bye.

Introducing Lucas Evan Murley

So as you all know we have a new addition to our family and his name is Lucas Evan. He was born April 24th 2008 at 2:05 at Clarendon Memorial. Tom Chapell delivered yet another Murley. Lucas was 7 lb 8oz and 20 inches long.

He is now two and a half months old and is sweet as can be. He, like his brother is a big un. On his two month appointment he weighed in at 13lbs and 8oz, 23 inches long. He is a good sleeper which is a blessing since his brother still is not. :) Michael and I are doing good at this parenting two kids thing.

Summer at the lake

We have been spending a lot of time at mom and dad's lake house. Dylan was finally tricked into getting on the pontoon and had a good time looking for "aminals." Uncle Adam and Aunt Catherine finally got a chance to make it down to see their new nephew.

Figuring out how to be a blogger...

Lets see how it goes...
