The Twinks Turn THREE!

Emma and Silas turned three on Feb 12th so the day after the big snow we drove to Charleston *GASP!* for their party. The boys had a great time playing with the twins and their cousin Miley and I always enjoy a good visit with the Daley's. Nic made burgers on her new grill top and she and Casey made some really tasty cupcakes. It was so much fun both of the Murley boys crashed and slept the entire way home. Thats my kinda party!

Snow Day!!

Hooray for snow! Let me clarify. Hooray for ONE day of snow!!! It started around 3 on Friday afternoon and Michael got to come home early. I'd already picked up Dyl from school so the three of us stood out in the driveway just soaking it in. It actually started to stick really fast so we got to go back out and throw snow balls (or if you are Lucas stack snowballs on the back of the truck) and run around in it a good bit. The boys thought it was too cool.

Meet the Kohans!

January 30th 2010 my sweet cousin Megan married her lifelong sweetheart Matthew Kohan. The rehearsal dinner was a Vegas themed party complete with a pit boss. Matt proposed in Vegas so they brought a bit of it to Dade City. Food was fantastic. Best mac n cheese I've had in a while! Michael was a sweetie pie to the max and took the boys back to the hotel so I could enjoy it boy free. Ashley had a stack of chips to be proud of and come raffle ticket time almost everyone at our table won a bottle of wine. It was great fun! Thanks to Matt's family for having us.

Shiny shoes: Dylan Michael got to be the ring bearer (or ring master as he calls himself) and of course got the tux and shoes to go with. He LOOOOOVED his shoes. He wore them at rehearsal, in the hotel room, to dinner, day of the wedding and all that night. He also was pretty fly in his tap number. :D


The wedding was beautiful. The Abbey itself is full of stained glass and exposed beam ceilings. The bridesmaids all wore black beaded dresses and carried red roses. Matt looked great (and super happy) in his tux. Megan. Oh, my God! Megan was breathtaking. She completely looked like a fairy tale princess in her strapless beaded gown. I wish both Megan and Matt as much happiness as anyone can pack into a shared lifetime! Love you both!!

We didn't get to stay all that long at the reception. Lucas was laying on my arm while I was trying to eat. He was up later than he's used to and I didn't want baby chaos to ruin the beautiful evening. The chicken cordon bleu and scalloped potatoes were very yum! The entire ceiling of the part of the country club we were in had red and black swirls all over if. It looked really cool and they had chocolate covered apples as favors.


The wedding was a great time and it was nice to see all the family that we only seem to see on special occasions. The best part of the entire trip was getting to sit with Megan and Ashley while they got their nails done and talking. We NEVER get to do that and it was really nice. We are thinking about a Cousin's Retreat sometime next year so we can all get together and catch up. Lots to look forward to. :)

Roller Derby Girls Night

 

 

 

We have had one of the most fun girls night to date: Roller Derby and Mexican food!!! Brie, Shannon A., Stacy and I met up for some drinks and fantastic food at The Taco Hut. It has a much better name but I can never remember what its called so just go with it. Then we went to the Jamil Temple to have some beer and watch some bitches kick some ass! It was sooo much fun!! Jenn Prince Hile was there as well and helped us get the jist of the game. The Columbia team skunked the low country team. We hooted and hollered with the girls from Bright Start. Next time the boys get to go so they don't stay home and pout. ;)

Nicola is preggers!!

One of my bff's is pregnant! Nicola is 9 weeks along and found out that it is only one this time instead of twinks. Emma and Silas will be great big brothers and sisters. So happy for you and Chad!! Love ya!

Grown People Night! Holla!!

Last week was restaurant week in Cola so Brie and I made plans to go out and try something new. The Saurs narrowed it down to two and then I made final decision: The Cellar on Greene. Its basically a wine bar with excellent food (BONUS!) It was kinda crowded b/c of it being RW but we hung out at our little table and drank fancy beers and Riesling till we could get put at the big one. The boys had pan steaks and the girls had pork. You can look at the menu from the link b/c it was a lot more complicated than just steak and pork. We had a great time! New Years...Yaaaaawn.

Michael worked New Years Eve so stayed up till midnight, called him and then went to bed. Thats it. No biggie. We are sooo wild.

2009 was a great year for us! We got to go and do such great things. The Dominican trip has really given me the travel bug. I want to go go go! Plans for 2010 so far: end of Jan going to Florida to see my cousin Megan get married to Matt (who we all love to pieces. They are the PERFECT match. Gonna cry I can feel it. :) March we are taking the boys back to Florida to Disney for the first time for Dyl's happy 5th birthday. Michael hasn't been either so it'll be great fun. We are staying in a hotel with a giant Buzz Lightyear and Woody. And then we'll spend one day at Magic Kingdom and one day at Animal Kingdom and come home the next day. April I am flying to California to spend four days with Adam and Catherine. Talks of Vegas and NYC are also in the works. We'll see how fundage goes. Lots to look forward too.

I'm not one for New Years resolutions. Try not to set myself up for failure. 2010 is going to be a great year I can feel it!
