My Baby is FOUR!

March 2nd, 2009 Dylan Michael Murley turned four. He started the day off with gymnastics class with his bestest friend Riley. Then we waited for Nana/Poppa, Brie/Chris to get here and all went to Pizza Lane to eat. After we are all full of pizza and fries we went to Chuck E Cheese so the kiddies (young and old) could play. Finished off our day with presents and Thomas cake.

At his Dr's appointment he toughed it out through his shots. Dr. Wall was impressed with his vast improvements. Big un weighs in at 42lbs and is back in the 110% for height.

We are so incredibly proud of our son and are grateful every day for having him in our lives. What did we do before???

Lucas got some birthday cake practice for Valentine's Day. Don't worry, his face isn't melting off-its frosting. :)

Tub Time Fun!

New Years Eve 2009

Dave and Shannon threw a kid-friendly New years party so that all of us with the kiddies could actually leave the house and have a good time with other adults. It was SO much fun. Elyse, Juliette and Dylan all played very well together and Jacob slept the entire time. Lucas was content to chase the dogs around. Luckily for them he is too slow to catch.

After it thinned out some Michael and Dave put on a fireworks display that had Dylan covering his ears and Panda barking her head off. There were only two fires. The second being a bit bigger than the first but fireman Dave took care of it. And will have awesome grass next year.

By toasting/ball drop time it was down to just the Murleys, the Arthurs and the soon-to-be Saurs so we welcomed in the new year with some bubbley in the kitchen. Then we had to hurry back to the living room to watch the dirtbike guy jump the thing in Vegas. If you saw it you know what I mean otherwise it takes WAY too long to describe. He lives. End of story. :)

After that the Soon-to-be Saurs had to leave and it was down to just us two couples. So we had a dork filled photo shoot and played sleep tag with the boys. It was a great time. Thank you Arthurs for doing this!

A Very Murley Christmas

We had a very nice Christmas at Casa de Murley. Santa came to see us during the night and ate all the cookies we left for him. He was a very nice guy and brought us all yet more prizes, the big yellow monster truck being the all time winner. But Daddy and Momma did pretty ok too with a new mic and stand and a Paris Hilton perfume set. Lucas got to wear the new bib Ms. Darlene made him. And Momma went all out and made a rotisserie chicken from Bi-lo for dinner. :) It was low key and perfect. Hope everyone else's day was just as wonderful.

Lucas is on the move!

I set Lucas down on the floor on all fours. I look down at him and he is sitting straight up! All by himself he sat up, so I ran and got the camera. He also can now balance on his knees and pull himself up on the chair every now and again. I proped him up against the door so he could see the cat and he stayed there long enough for me to run to the desk to get the camera. I do a lot of camera running these days.
